Phones : An Evolution Unparalleled
Often do I wonder thinking about the big leap that communication industry has been taking gradually, especially in case of phones. Since the time phones were invented by Elisha Gray and Graham Bell in 1870s, when phones were wire-based electrical system, to this day when it has become more popular as wire-less system, phone have always been one of the most important medium of communication.
Unlike earlier when phones had just one model used only to talk to people, today phones have been categorised into many types like cordless telephone, mobile phone, satellite phone and semi-cordless phone. The fast leap of wireless phones have given rise to mobile phones, which are today the most popular communication gadget that people around the world are becoming armed with.
Endowed with plenty of facilities, phones including mobile phones are becoming gradually a recreational tool along with a fast medium of communication between people. Using mobile phones today, you can listen to your favourite FM radio channel, can play games, can listen to MP3 songs, can capture images as well as video record a scene. I am still wondering whether phones have either been marking an evolution or revolution in today's communication age.
